i have found one of my old jw friends from when i was a teenager.

i discovered her on myspace and wrote her message and it turns out that she is out of the religion and doing well.

this is the first time i have met one of my friends from my inner circle who has left the jw religion...i'm so excited!

i just took my mum home with her shopping, and she gave me a letter from a sister in my old kh.

the sister was one of my best friends for years, and one of the few people outside the elders who i told i was about to da, and why.

she knows i have moved recently, but doesn't know my new address, so she dropped this letter at my mums this morning:.

Anyone ever just picked up and moved far away

has anyone here ever just gotten so sick of it all that they just packed up their belongings and pets and left?.

did you know people in the place that you went to?

how did you find work?.

My son did. He was sick of the two faced back stabbing "friends' he had here. He became inactive for about four months found a job on the internet and within two months moved over 1500 miles away to California . He knew one person a friend of a friend . After a few months he started attending meetings out there just to have some familiar contacts . He is happy now . I havn't really discussed my inactivity at lenghth with him yet. But I know he thinks the congregation here is toxic.He just doesn't realize how deep the toxicity goes...yet.

do you know who the worst offenders were??

the elders.

the elders, because they were "shepherds and overseers" believed they had the right to talk about you, your family, your job, your personality and so forth.....they pick apart any male in the hall under the guise of seeing whther someone "might qualify for privileges".

I thought our Hall was the ,"Gossipers Hall of Fame ". We even had most of the Elder Body replaced in the 1980's for the rampant gossip their wives caused .HQ sent in a Bethelite Gestapo elder to reorganize .Now most are back in their old positions , and still at it except now it's been passed down to their kids. I can only imagine what is being said about my family right now. I'm evil enough to start my own rumors about myself just to see how far it will go and mutate.
